Weekly Update 🎉: Final Mile - Nabb Demoed, Website Live, and Launch in Sight

TL;DR:

  • First full product demo complete — launch is 2–3 weeks away
  • Exploring switch from OpenAI to Anthropic for LLM performance
  • Website for Nabb is now live at nabb.app
  • Nearing 1,300 followers and passed 100 waitlist signups

Hi Everyone,

Hope you all had a great long weekend! We’re getting very close to launching the app, so I’ll get right into the update.

Development Update

We’re officially in the final stages of building Nabb! I had my first full demo with the team yesterday, and it’s starting to feel real. There are still a few remaining fixes—especially around the enrichment pipeline—and we’re actively deciding whether to stick with OpenAI or switch to Anthropic for our LLM API. The results vary by model, and we want the best experience possible.

There’s likely 2–3 more weeks of development and user testing before we’re ready for public launch, but we’re in the final stretch.

Growth Update

We’re approaching 1,300 followers on @patbuildsanapp and crossed 100 people on the waitlist this week! Our combined total between the email list and waitlist is now around 250 excited future users. Our goal is to hit 1,000 users within the first 3 months of launch, and this is a solid foundation to build from.

Brand Update

The Nabb website is now officially live! (Even though some of you may have spotted it early last week 😅). It’s a work in progress, but it was a key milestone for App Store and Google Play approval. For now, the download button links to the waitlist, but you’ll be the first to know when it goes live.

The goal of the site is simple: explain how Nabb changes the way you use the internet—without overwhelming new users.

This Week’s Focus

Our top priority is getting the app ready for real-world use. We’re tightening up the final feature fixes and preparing to run our first tests with real user data in the system. If all goes well, we’re hoping for App Store and Play Store approval by early next week.

Looking Ahead

Seeing the demo yesterday made it all feel real—this thing is actually happening. It may not be 100% of what I originally envisioned by launch, but that might be a blessing in disguise. Your feedback will help shape the next phase of Nabb.

It’s wild to think that just a few months ago, this was a side project I was building in my apartment. Now, we’re just weeks away from launching a production-ready app that’s designed to change how you use the internet every day.

There’s still more to do, but we’re incredibly close.
