Weekly Update 🎉: Testing, Traction & the Push to Launch

TL;DR

  • Final product demo expected this week; launch still targeting early June
  • Small chance of a slight delay as we prioritize testing and App Store approval
  • Growth momentum building: 1,100+ followers and two high-performing videos under $0.70/follow
  • Main focus: testing, final fixes, and preparing for launch

Hi Everyone,

This has been another big week as we push toward launch. We’re still aiming for June 1, but may end up a few days behind as we prioritize user testing and App Store approval. That said, we’re determined to go live in the first week of June.

Development Updates

We’re just days away from a full product demo. During last week’s review, we identified a gap in how the system handles misidentified saves. That fix—and any others that surface in this week’s review—will be addressed ASAP, likely spilling into early next week. That should leave us with about one week of testing before launch, which is tight but doable.

Growth Updates

We crossed 1,100 followers this week and spotted two previously posted videos with strong early performance (under $0.70/follow). If those metrics hold, we’ll be able to triple our daily ad spend—crucial for hitting our 1,000-download goal in the first three months.

Our recent videos are also seeing faster traction: both broke 2,000 views quickly, with one already over 3,000. This is a major improvement over previous videos, where even 1,000 views took effort. Our growing follower base is helping, but Instagram’s algorithm is clearly putting us in front of new users, which is even more exciting.

This Week

  • Finalize testing and resolve any issues ahead of launch
  • Migrate accounts to new @nabb.app emails
  • Remove Matchbox branding from all user-facing elements
  • Push ad spend to the limit while maintaining efficiency
  • Drop our latest video

Looking Ahead

It’s all starting to feel very real. We’ve gone from a scrappy prototype in my apartment to a polished app that’s nearly ready for the world. After launch, our focus will shift to downloads, user engagement, and continued iteration to make Nabb everything our users need.

Hard to believe it’s just two weeks until Nabb is in your hands. Thanks for being on this journey with us—we’re so close.
