Weekly Update 🎉: Final Stretch to Launch

Weekly Update 🎉: Final Stretch to Launch

TL;DR

  • Backend tooling improvements for smoother link processing
  • Front and backend now aligned — final UI + functionality coming together
  • @patbuildsanapp crossed 1,000 followers 🎉
  • Launch is less than 3 weeks away!

Hi Everyone,

This week’s update is short and sweet — we’re heads down making the final push to hit our June 1 launch date.

Development Updates

Last week, we made meaningful progress on backend tooling for our link identification process. This will help the system more easily process new links, troubleshoot tricky ones, and give us clearer signals on which sources warrant custom solutions. It's a big step toward making the backend more nimble and scalable.

The backend is now caught up to the frontend, so we’re focused on stitching together the full user experience — especially how users will interact with and view the content they’ve saved. There’s still a lot to do, and the timeline is tight, but momentum is strong.

Growth Update

We officially passed 1,000 followers on @patbuildsanapp! It’s a small but exciting milestone, especially given our razor-thin budget. It’s proving Instagram can be a real distribution channel for us.

Our most recent video outperformed our usual posts by framing a common frustration — wanting to buy something but losing the link. That’s a strong sign that the value prop resonates, and once the app is live, our content can lean more heavily into real-world utility — driving even more engagement and (hopefully) downloads.

We’ll keep pushing the account to grow as much as we can before launch.

This Week’s Focus

  • Development: We’re bringing on an extra resource for the final stretch. Focus areas include enrichment tools and the content submission flow.
  • Growth: Working on a new video to share more of my backstory. We’re also finalizing the website for App Store submission and I’m drafting a thought piece to accompany the launch — outlining the broader vision for the recall industry and how Nabb fits into it.

Looking Ahead

We’re just a few weeks from launch, and I couldn’t be more excited. I’m proud of what the team has built — and I’m even more excited to hear what you think once it’s in your hands. Your feedback will be crucial as we iterate and improve.

More to come next week.
