Happy Monday Testers!

Another great week of sign-ups and submissions is in the books! Your feedback continues to uncover bugs, enable new content sources, and improve the Matchbox experience.

Quick Tip: Some testers have only been using the Add [+] button in the app because they weren’t sure how texting content works. It’s super easy—just share a link as if texting a friend, but send it to Matchbox instead at +12037796002! This works the same as submitting through the Matchbox app without leaving the app you’re using.

Product Updates (12/9 - 12/16)

  • Bulk Upload: You can now submit lists, links (including Google Maps, Sheets, Docs, ect), or files containing restaurants you’ve saved and want to add to your Matchbox.
  • Submit ALL for Multi-Restaurant Queue: You can now submit all restaurants at once when processing content in your Multi-Restaurant Queue.
  • Facebook Links: Facebook Business Pages and Reels are now fully functional. Share links directly into Matchbox like any other content.
  • Home City Update: We’ve improved the Home City feature by adding context about its purpose and simplifying updates via the Home Screen.
  • City-Specific Content: Multi-Restaurant Queue, Add [+], Wrong Restaurant Update, and Need More Information now prioritize the specified city if it’s different from your Home City.

Focus Areas for This Week

  • User Interviews: I want to hear from all testers! Sign up for a 45-minute session here or text/email me to arrange a quick call.
  • TikTok/YouTube Content Reliability: Improving the consistency of submissions from these platforms is a top priority this week.
  • Image Submission Exploration: I’m investigating what it would take to process images into profiles within Matchbox.
  • Power User Invites: Phase 2 starts the last week of December! Send me names and emails of people to invite, or add them to the waitlist using the "Add a Friend to the Waitlist" button on your profile. I’ll also reach out individually for suggestions.

Spark Update

After testing various solutions for Spark, I’ve decided to pause this feature for now. It has been removed from the app to focus on improving content submission and processing. Spark will return to the roadmap in the future, and I’ll share updates when it’s back on track!

Looking Ahead

Since launch, this group has submitted over 300 pieces of content, and some of you have Matchboxes with 30+ entries! Your contributions are shaping what a Power User looks like and helping improve Matchbox for everyone.
