HIRING: Social Media Producer (Part-Time)

I’m building an app called Nabb to help people make better use of the internet by connecting the things we save and search for across platforms and making all our apps work better together.
To build some early momentum, I started sharing the journey on Instagram at @patbuildsanapp. So far, it’s working: 1,500 people have followed the account, and around 300 have joined the waitlist for when the app goes live.
That said, I’ll be the first to admit: content production isn’t my strong suit. I’ve got good ingredients, but I’m just a line cook…and it's time I hired a chef. 👩🍳
Who I’m looking for:
Someone who has produced viral content (for yourself or others) and is excited about helping tell the story of a founder building a product from scratch. That includes launching, growing a user base, fundraising, hiring, and building a real business.
You’ll help shape and run the content engine. That means writing scripts, planning and filming shots, editing, and publishing videos one to two times per week. I’ll still be the focus and involved creatively, but I want a partner who can bring a perspective on what’s working, where to push, and how to make the story more engaging while staying true to the tone: honest, personal, and down to earth.
Details:
- 5 to 10 hours per week (flexible schedule)
- 1 to 2 hours per week in person to film (NYC-based preferred, but open to someone who is able to commute)
- Paid hourly, open to discussion on rates.
- We’re doing this as a team. You bring the skills and vision, I’ll bring the story, product, and access.
You might be a fit if:
- You’ve created or helped produce viral content on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube Shorts
- You understand narrative and pacing and know how to turn raw moments into a hook
- You have an eye for editing and making content visually engaging
- You like being early to something and helping build it from the ground up
